Endeavor Robotics has been chosen by MassEcon, the state’s private sector partner in promoting business growth in Massachusetts, as a winner in its Fifteenth Annual Team Massachusetts Economic Impact Awards. The yearly competition recognizes 15 companies for their outstanding contributions to the state’s economy. Endeavor was named a winner in the Northeast Region.
Nominated companies went through a rigorous qualification process and were selected based on demonstrated job growth, facility expansion, investment, and community involvement since the start of 2017. Winners will be honored at an event November 20 in Boston. Governor Charlie Baker will be the featured speaker.
“We’re extremely proud to be recognized by MassEcon with the 2018 Economic Impact Award,” said Sean Bielat, Endeavor Robotics CEO. “Endeavor is playing a lead role in the Commonwealth’s innovation economy, creating jobs, investing in local businesses, and giving back to our community.
“This award belongs to our entire team, who work tirelessly to design and build robots that help save lives,” Bielat added.
Since 2017, the Chelmsford-based company has expanded its facilities by 22,000 square feet and added 65 staff to its workforce. Endeavor supports STEM activities in local schools, where employees volunteer and demonstrate robots to encourage students to pursue careers in math and science.
This past summer MassEcon judges visited with regional nominees. In September, all finalists came together in Boston, where execs had to present a one-minute pitch on why their firm deserved an award. In total, the winning companies’ expansion projects represent a financial investment of more than $750 million, over 1.6 million square feet of new space, and more than 3,100 jobs added to the Massachusetts economy.
