iRobot, Defense & Security begins to design and build tactical mobile robots

1998

"Urbie" delivered and wins DARPA contract for a tactical mobile robot. Urbie is the genesis of PackBot

2001

Early PackBot systems delivered and provides search capabilities at the World Trade Center after 9/11

2004

Small Unmanned Ground Vehicle (SUGV) contract won
